Time to sell my A
« on: March 24, 2014, 09:24:59 AM »
I have considered selling My 77 A off and on for two years now and it is time. Too much stuff in the garage and a 96 600 shadow is coming in a week or so. I hope to send it to a good home. it is in  good shape for 1977 20,000 miles, Starts and runs great.  new Super bike bars and mirrors. new battery. New seat cover installed. New Dyna ignition. I will also give a complete set of K5 round top carbs and cam along with everything to install them including the cam cover gasket. Manifolds and new aircleaner rubbers.   New mother honda carb kits and needle&seat sets. Extras included. Original Candy sword blue and stock exhaust. I have pictures if anyone is interested. Tires are good but old. Could start the bike and take it anywhere. I have more than $1,500 invested to get it here will take $1,100 It is a great daily driver. There are a couple picture in my post (super bike bars on an A )

Hey - if you sell the bike, and the buyer isn't very interested in your extra parts - send me a price . . . .

Found a local gentleman  that wanted my automatic so It went to a good home.
I will have the K5 round tops and cam when I get time to gather them up. They are completely disassembled for cleaning and I bought new Honda needle and seats, carb kits, and rubber dust boots for the slide lift cams  along with new Honda  rubber air cleaner tubes and a set of K5 intake manifoldsOnly thing will be the throttle cables.

I did sell My "A" and I see the guy drive by once in a while, He is taking the bike farther towards a restoration than I wanted to. very nice work. I still have a K5 set of round top Carbs and cam, along With Mother Honda Gasket kits, Lift arm boots, Needle and seats, Intake tubes ( to air cleaner ) and a K model set of intake rubbers( to Head )  The carbs are disassembled and dipped and ultrasonic cleaned and ready to reassemble. All holes are clean and no striped threads. The carbs look  nice. When I took off the bowls there has been water in them at some time in there life and there is some corrosion of the inside but nothing that would affect the operation. I could reassemble them or leave them apart for  inspection and assembly. The Honda parts alone are  $200 and I Bought the carbs, cam and manifolds from a gentleman here  so I need to get $200 for the lot. Is anyone interested.
