European paint job - CB 750 K0
« on: March 25, 2014, 06:42:18 AM »
OK, not a restauration project, but I want to share some paint job pictures.

I have a second set of body kit with black painted tank and badly faded side pannels and wanted to have them done in candy ruby red.

All the work has been done by Menno Dek, to be found here:  http://tanklackieren.de/

Meno comes from The Netherlands and works in Germany.

Tank paint and rust inside had been chemically removed. He found some dings:

My old front fork covers had been too rusty inside and some bends, so we decided to take new ones.

Airfilter box are repros, mine where cracked (as usuall). Menno bought that for me.

After primer first film of paint

I heard erly K0 had painted stripes, so this had to be done:

Gold spray

Stripe

Done

And clear coat

I am very happy with Mennos work, excellent communication and sercive. Body kit came back perfectly packaged by parcel.
Price was less than I expected.
Thanks!

Doc, I love a motorcycle!

Very nice work, I was a little worried at pic #11 as it looked like there was some tape bleed, but the final results are great.  Congrats, will look fabulous on the bike!
