Doesn't sound like a great meet Brian hope the rider heals quick there's not much room for solo's let alone chairs going though crash corner.

Very true Mark, but it keeps us on our toes.

Cheers,
Brian

Hey Brian - I was there volunteering all day on the Saturday up in the box at turn three (crash corner), learning how to work the flags and push sidecars off the track when they bump each other and end up in all sorts of bother.

Was that you hooning around on the mobility scooter?

I could not make it Sunday but I heard there was a nasty spill with someone sent off to hospital - hope they are okay.

G'day Cliffy,

I can't believe you didn't chase me up mate.
Newmo and I would have liked to have caught up and had a beer with you.
Crash is the place to be if you want to see a bit sidecar action,  no doubt about that.
My balls are usally bouncing of my adams apple by the time I hit the breaking area for Crash on the first lap.

Yep, that was I.
Not quite as quick as the chair but I still manage to get myself into trouble with it on occasions.

I could not make it Sunday but I heard there was a nasty spill with someone sent off to hospital - hope they are okay.

Yep, your right unfortunately.
It was a mate of mine, (Doug Flake).
And it was our bike that punted him off.
He collected the tyer barrier at the end of the straight.
Six broken ribs, no internal bleeding or busted lungs though thank God.

I've spoken to him a couple of times since the accident and he's been kind enough to accept my apology for the incident.
Unfortunately it was his second major accident in two meetings and he has decided to retire.

To be honest it's left me wondering which way I'm heading as well.
I'm feeling pretty low about the whole thing at the moment.

Now remember.
If your down this way doing the flaggy thing and you don't chase us up your going to be in deep #$%*! >:(

Cheers,
Brian

I can see a land speed chair on the cards, much safer and still fun without the danger. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Bugger - I got so caught up at crash corner for the day I didn't get a chance to say hi.

Was Doug on a silver Triumph outfit?

I think I helped him and his mate push it off the track after a three way tangle at crash corner on Saturday arvo.

Those chairs weren't turning through crash - they were all drifting!
