Nice Steve-o!  I havent had time to work on it until today... I will try that set up with the strap and angle iron.  I have read the bearing thread.... talk about LONG haha.  It helped out a bunch.  Just getting to stripping the front end all the way down.... had everything off of the bars already so hopefully ths is easy.... will keep you all posted.

Well its been a long 4 months but im back! I have the tapered bearing in and the new tree installed. Still havent had any luck with the D washers for the new tree and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? Also really having trouble getting the wiring hooked back right. Any help would be appreciated. I am getting ready to oreder what ihope is the last haul of parts before this thing is on the road... finally.

Just make your own by grinding an edge into a washer. Not difficult.

True, I have done it. Trick is getting the correct thickness, the spacer is thicker than a standard washer.  I believe the cylinder head washer is the correct thickness.

Yeah I read that the thicknes should be .09 and the cylinder head washer is at .093 so it just needs filed down a bit. Ill check ebay for them. Wish there was a honda store around! Any suggestions on a good wiring diagram? Like a smart guy I didnt take any pictures of the wires and want to make sure I hook everything up right.

If you have the OEM wiring harness in there just connect color to color. Plug and play :) Everything that goes into the headlight bucket gets connected to the main harness which also comes into the bucket. Be sure to check for corrosion and some guys put dielectric grease on the bullets too.

That's correct, but those indicator pigtails have a short colour-coded band (featuring the correct light blue & orange colour) over them close to the bullet connectors.

Great. The p.o. has done some hacking in here. My turn signal wires are grey and some colors arent on the harness. Mine looks like a total mess compared to yours. Also is my bike a "sandcast".  I will post pictures asap of the bike.

I have a thread in Tricks and Tips about this. Yes its the CB750 cyl head washer (maybe others) that is the correct thickness. I'll get a link. Strongly suggest you not using a standard washer as I've seen the tree crack with them as well.

Thanks! Everyone always asks me and I could never answer them. Will hopefully have time to play with the bike these next couple weeks. Would like to put it on the road this fall. As of now electric start doesnt work. Looks like the wires that run through the bars are disconnected from the bottom half of the controls where the button is. REALLY short.
