cb400four rims and spokes
« on: March 27, 2014, 01:43:09 PM »
Picked up a cb400four project, rusty wheels and spokes.

Plan is to switch to stainless spokes and aluminum rims, stock size.

Can anyone suggest what rims and spokes to get?

Gracias.

I bought these from DSS. Nice enough for me and a direct fit. I powdered my hoops so ? I'm sure some of the other will chime in on the hoops.
Good luck !

Was very happy with my SS spokes from Buchanan. Not the cheapest but they are the sweetest!

Have any of you run mag wheels on a 400four?

If not Lester arent there suzuki/yamaha wheels very similar to Lesters that I could modify to work?

Can  kawasaki kz650 Wheels work? How?
Thx

There aren't any mag wheels from other bikes that fit easily. However, there are several types that were specifically made for the 400/4, such as A.R.E. & EPM, but all are pretty rare and exceedingly expensive nowadays (it is cheaper to get spoked wheels rebuilt).
