This is a project we recently completed for a client in South Australia.  Originally found in Rochester NY, shipped down-under and after a lot of man hours transformed into the Mauler.

Love the name - The Mauler! Interesting exhaust system and that front tire is frikken HUGE!!

Finally got this one wrapped up. Wanted to keep this as stock as possible. I had never done anything quite this in depth and I learned a lot by doing so.

I will not be in a hurry to take on another project that is so rough to begin with but this bike gave me something to do during COVID and is as old as I am so it will always be a special one to me.

Very nice, stay safe and enjoy it ..if you have collision coverage be sure your insurance coverage is going to reflect the value of your restored bike...stated value policies are available from some insurance companies...

I built this over the last 5 years using parts that I had sitting around. Started with a bare frame and a parts bike engine.

ENGINE

- complete strip and clean, all components measured against factory specs
- cases, clock, head, blasted and painted
- stock bore - honed and new rings
- heavy duty DID cam chain
- new cam chain tensioners
- all new gaskets and seals
- 24mm bored stock carbs
-  hand built exhaust headers, collector, link pipe
-  D&D carbon exhaust can

WHEELS & SUSPENSION
   
- GS500 wheels
- CBR954RR front caliper and rotor
- CBR600F2 front master cylinder
- braided steel brake line
- CBR600F4 front forks and triple clamp
- RG250 rear rotor
- CBR600F1 front caliper on custom carrier for rear caliper
- CBR600F1 swingarm - narrowed and modded for twin shocks

CHASSIS

- stock frame de-tabbed
- external bracing from steering head to swingarm area
- swingarm - CBR600F1, narrowed and modified for twin shocks
- laid down rear shocks
- 520 chain conversion
- Weight 377lbs with gas

BODYWORK
- hand formed front fender with CNC mounts
- hand formed gas tank
- hand formed tail section
- RC30 fairing - filled in side vents

1972 Suzuki GT380 I had charge of it for a year in 1973 while my friend was deployed and learned to love street riding....
New CB450 K7 after my friend returned...
New CB750 K5 Planet Blue, demise by ex cousin in law at 9,000 miles...
New CB750 K6 Anteres Red, to replace the totaled K5, I sold this K6 at 45k in 1983, I had heavily modified it, many great memories on it and have missed it greatly.....
