Got the carbs on the engine! A slightly modified small set screw solved the missing pin problem on the throttle linkage.

Can't wait to see that Delkevic installed.  I saw one a GS1000 and it looked great.  The owner had the bright idea of hallowing out the baffle which I did not care for.

The only thing I don like abot the Delkevic is that it is rather heavy compared to a MotoGp, but what do you expect for $300.

Just to be clear Dino...the valve job and surface milling isn't my work. My machine shop specializes in motorcycle work and that is 99% of their business. It is hard to find a place like that and they are about 20 minutes from my house. I did the port work and anything that required a lathe though I believe that head didn't need any of that. Funny thing is when I wrote that post I was thinking more about the oil jets I sent you!  ;D ;D ;D

Ahh yes! Important little items! You saved the day on that one! :) I STILL don't have my South Bend 9a put back together yet! Gotta get on that project as I could put it to good use.

Just curious....do we, or anyone, know if the Delkevic allow removal of the oil pan while its installed? On a 750.

That would be nice, for those of us who like to pull the oil pump occasionally to check the screen. Clutch debris from drag racing, etc.

Do we like that muffler style, semi-flared?

Hard to beat that orange color for. I found House of Kolor Tangerine Orange (with some flake of course) to be very very close to some original painted parts I have. Thanks for taking the time to post all of those build videos Dino, they really saved my butt a few times.

Hi, I would just like to thank you for your video diary's I have an old CB750 that I bought with a snapped camshaft. I have watched quite a few of your videos since last year. Your one about rebuilding the top end was invaluable to me as it was one of my restrictor jets that was blocked and if I had not seen your video I would never have known about it let alone found them. The original engine re-builder had also missed it as only 160 miles later the cam snapped, then the current owner had just about given up on it and I picked up the pieces from there. My re-builder also missed it and after a lot of head scratching we eventually found it. I must add here that what I know about engines is borderline dangerous.  ::)

Thanks for posting that Restoration Fan. Sure was great to hear it run, and the way it fired right off was very satisfying!

A few YouTube commenters mentioned that I should have applied some anti-seize to the JIS screws on the exhaust flanges. As I mentioned there,  I can always pull them back out one at a time and apply a little anti-seize. In fact, I'll be pulling the exhaust back off so I can send out the flange clamps for rechroming.

Now I need to sort out the wiring. I have a new harness but I'm missing a couple parts of the kill switch and turn signal switch. Might have to buy some replacement units.

Congrats Dino!

Delkevic tip: Install the 4 pipes into the collector FIRST then install on the head. Sounds great plus that's a 2 piece baffle for those that want to hear more.
