The throttle slides on the CB500 I picked up were frozen in place, so I took the carbs off the bike to clean and inspect. Looks like the fuel line was routed wrong, and was binding between carb 1 & 2. While I had them off, figured they should be cleaned. Found a small mouse nest, with only a few droppings actually inside one of the carb bodies. Here's where it gets weird though. There's a 13mm nut as part of the linkage on each carb. Nut #2 was very stubborn. Blah blah, then SNAP! I broke one end clean off. (Had to put what was left in the vise to loosen that nut.) I found the end that broke off, so my question is, will JB Weld hold this on? See pictures below. Thanks!
John.
