Assembly lube.
« on: April 26, 2014, 08:59:57 PM »
Assembling complete motor. Case up. I have a can of bel-ray assembly lube, greyish moly stuff.  Can I use that for bearing and journals on all surfaces or do I need to use the red paste stuff?  Motor will prolly sit for 1-2 weeks, maybe oil is okay?

Thanks

I would use Red Line, Spectro or Torco assembly lube....the Bel Ray is to pasty and does not break down easily.

I've been using this for over 20 years and hundreds of engines. It's good stuff!
