So I'm a little stumped. I've completely rebuilt the entire rear wheel, new spokes, new rims, all new bearings, same brake assembly but new shoes. It's all mounted up properly linkaged to the brake pedal. And it works fine except the brake pedal has too much downward travel. I've tried to adjust the curved faced nut at the end of the linkage to the point at which the rear brake starts to engage. I'm still let with too much travel. You really have to tilt your foot down to max it out. How do you get less pedal travel to move the rear lever the proper amount?
Thanks.
