cb350F Jetting Help
« on: April 12, 2014, 08:10:07 AM »
Trying to get my bike back up and running, with a few new items. I cant seem to figure out the jetting even with XS11 formula etc.

Current Setup
  • New valve job (refaced & recut seats)
  • New piston rings
  • Honed Cylinders
  • Dyna S, 5ohm coils, 8mm wires, new NGK caps
  • Ported head
  • Mac 4-1 w/ baffle
  • Velocity stacks - steel dragons
  • Cleaned Carbs by Harisuluv
  • New Cables
  • DR8ES-L Plugs

Carb Setup
  • 85's - mains
  • 35's - pilots
  • 1 turn out
  • Needle Raised one position
  • 350ft Above Sea Level

I tried 95's but the bike kept bogging down and with the mixture screw all the way seated the bike would die, thus lowering to 85's.

By all the math from the different charts it says I should be running 85's or 90's tried them both and all i'm getting is sputtering, carb popping, and erratic idle that hangs once blipped and after about 30secs drops.

Plugs are black and fluffy deposits.

Edit - Seems 80's with the airscrews 1.5 turns out is the money spot.
