This 11/73 Boss Maroon K4 was basically parked in the PO basement 30 years ago with 5200 miles on it and he walked away and forgot about it and never rode it again after his doctor told him not to ride anymore because of back problems. Being inside all exterior is in very good shape. Paint(right side of tank is discolured in one area because of gas though) pipes, seat, and chrome all in very good condition. Tool kit is still in original pouch with Honda logo and looks like its hardly ever been used and owners manual is in good shape. Bike just needs a good bath to get 30 years of grud off.

Ok I've told the good so here is some of the not so good. Bike was parked and forgot about with some gas still in it. The petcock is in the reserve postion.Throttle is froze and I dropped one of the carb bowls and of course carbs are gummed up and will need major attention. Motor had become stuck from sitting all those years, kick lever would not move, but a little ATF down the plug holes and gently rocking back and forth in 5th gear and she freed up rather easy with no problem and kick lever works smooth. So hopefully no internal damage.

Next step is to get carbs off bike and go from there and let the fun begin

Man I still have to get my Wang on the road, son of a $%&^$

Hall, I blew up that pic and she is really a great looking bike! Has to be a big relief you got the motor free. Doubt there will be any damage considering how the rest of the bike looks. I bet once you get the carbs done she will fire right up. My K3 had the worst carbs ever with rotten fuel still there. Do not be afraid to spend some time cleaning up the jets and using them. That is what I did and I thought they would be junk. Keep those OEM carb parts in there if you can. Looking forward to the start up. By the way...just got my Wang out this past weekend.

$5k is a bit much for my wallet.

I have a vintage 1974 Honda CB750K4 four cylinder for sale. I am the 2nd owner and it runs great but it is just a little too tall for me. It has had an oil change and new throttle cables put on less than 50 miles ago. It has 178XX original miles on it. I am asking $5000 OBO.

Well Stev-o I didn't, I wasn't looking for another bike(keep telling myself that) but my wife Brenda stumbled across it last week while surfing the web checking out auction sales in the area that would be going on the coming weekend(last weekend) Here is the listing she saw: ESTATE AUCTION: Sat. You got that right Tews. I let out a big yell! Even though the bike is original and in very good condition including the 341's finding out the engine was froze I started having second thoughts and almost walked away from it. And being at a auction sale I didn't have the option or luxury of getting motor free before purchasing. But after talking to the owner and finding out some history and how he had owned it since 1976 and only put 3000 miles on it(total miles 5200) and than parked it in 1984 because of back problems I felt pretty confident the motor wasn't hurt just stuck(dry cylinder walls I guess) from sitting so long(30 years) I think if I had sat for this long something on me would be stuck to

And it worked to my advantage most of the people that were looking at it originally lost interest when they heard motor was locked up. I was surprised how easy after putting some ATF down the plug holes she freed up after gently rocking the bike back and forth a little bit. Of course I want know for sure that all is well till Im able to crank her up, but I feel like everything is good. Hope my gut feeling is right.
