Ok, if I am seeing this correctly, you tried to physically remove the accelerator pump nozzle/squirter?

These are pressed in. I have never heard of someone removing them, and this is not necessary to clean them. Replace the body now, and don't try that again. Besides if from what I've read you are having problem just starting and staying running. You are going down the wrong rabbit holes, as is often the case with these carb threads.

If you need a new body PM me with the casting number, it's on the side of the carb where it meets the bowl. If you can't find it google where it's at.

There was an old post on the accel pump tubes where someone took some incorrect measurements and then that info seemed to spread.

The CORRECT measurements for the accel pump restrictor tubes is:

ID: 2mm
OD: 4mm

Yeah I don't really see anyone mentioning touching the nozzles. I think you were/are unfamiliar with terminology and misunderstood instructions because of that.

You might want to take a step back and slow down.

so a local guy who ended up being pretty cool sold me a nice set of PD carbs for 100 bucks.

clean them out being much more careful this time put in the new diaphragm tested it and it squirts gas out of all for four nozzles. Air screw turned out 1.75

its a lot closer to starting but it still stumbles and is unable to totally get going ... I'm wondering now if I need to look at my timing. here's a video of what's happening when I try to start it.

Finally

screw is at 1.25 turns with half an airbox (dont ask).

Cleared things out one more time and wham..fired up. Let it run for a bit on choke and it started to rev up and was eventually able to run no choke. Now its just minor adjustments.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qnd67tI6atY&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Haha what a thread. flybox gives some great info on the first page! When replacing brass tubes inside the accel pump lines, does order matter? For example, does one diameter go on the left of the line & other on the right?

there is only one size diameter. Again, the tubes are ID 2mm, OD 4mm.

The only differences in the tubes is that the middle one has slightly longer length because the rubber tube is bigger between 2 and 3

I do. I like the fast idle cam. And, the accelerator pump on the 750's. When dialed in, the PD's work as well or better than the earlier carbs.

so went out to start today and nothing. Excel pump not working again today so cut a bigger hole and reassembling now we'll see what happens.

does it help to prime it?
