ENGINE !

HI,    All  Well  My  Engine  Went !  after a 37 year run!  she was a Good Girl,
        But she is gone ! she went  to see God Home in the sky. she said go and
        get a new heart ( Engine ) But were will I ever Find one ? I still have her
        But her Heart is GONE !  Please Help Me Get Her back on The Road she

Sorry to hear the news. I have seen a couple on Ebay but the price was redicilous.  What failed on yours. Is it repareable? These are pretty tough  but things do happen.

Also interested in what failed.  Do you think it is "just" a top end job - or will you have to split the cases (if you were to fix it)?

I am in northern Illinois about 30 NW of Chicago, Bartlett, IL 60103.  I have a 1978 CB750A complete engine minus carbs and insulators.  I bought it for the carbs and insulators. The guy I bought it from said it was setting in a barn for many years. He said pulled off the top end to free up stuck ring on #4. He put it back together but never installed a new gasket set. After that he never remounted it. It would need a good cleaning, upper gasket set, oil pan gasket and my guess is the vales and seats need a cleaning. It came off a bike with 14K miles on it. It turns over via the electric start. I figured someday I would do something with it, but I would be happy to see it get back on the road. You would have to handle the shipping end, if interested , make me a reasonable offer and it is yours. Vin# is B750AE-72022xx- Len
