18x4.25 rear rim , what size tire should i look at ?

hi ! i received a new rim today for my 74 CB750 . i planned on lacing it to my rear hub and use the same tire but after a quick look i figured it would just stretch the tire . it is a 4.00 - 18 Avon . it is also the first time i mess with motorcycle tire sizes.

Will it work or i need something wider ? What should i look for ? i know it is gonna be thight in the factory swingarm but i can easily cut some room and weld it smooth.

Any input appreciated !

4" was stock tire size on a 2.15" rim.  That rim looks super wide.

the rim  is almost twice as wide . would the shape of the tire be allright mounted on the wider rim ? i just dont wanna lose my time mounting it hehe
