Topic: New from San Diego. Just bought a cb750f!

Hi everyone! I'm Zubin from San Diego. I've been browsing the forums while I've been shopping for my first bike. I finally found a 1975 CB750 Super Sport in pretty good shape, running, with low miles. It's in the shop at the moment getting a new voltage regulator, a tune up, k&n pod filters, and a shorter exhaust. I can't wait to ride it! Thanks in advance for the help with all the questions I'll have!

Welcome to the forum.  Looks like a nice bike and you couldn't have picked a better model in my completely unbiased opinion.  As has been documented on this forum many times, the '75 Fs were all hand assembled by Soichiro himself, so they are special.

Since you are taking them off, I suggest you make sure you hang onto the stock parts, especially the airbox because you may want to put it back on. The exhaust is worth some bucks.  That may seem obvious, but I've known a lot of people who have let the stock parts get away from them when doing mods on a bike they just got.

Also, if you want side covers, check out Frankenstuff on this forum.  His are reasonably priced, look stock, and are superior to the originals in durability.

Odo says 12k, but they're not the stock gauges.  My mechanic said due to the condition of the motor and lack of a cam chain rattle (or something) that it probably only had around 6,000.

Whatever the mileage actually is, I'm just glad I scored a clean, running F for $2500.
