I think you've seen the feedback on price, so you know what's around and what everyone's opinion on that is. Here's some input for you:
If that right fork ear is dented, and the left steering stop is broken, then the right fork UPPER and STEM are very suspect! Factor that into your replacement costs. Consistent with ears and pedals being bent, it met something hard...
I didn't notice the condition of the engine for cycling and compression? Given all these repair costs, do you think it will be financially sound to spend that much and still be able to recover your investment on a resale?
My read: this is not the bike to satisfy your curiosity with. You don't seem anxious enough to get a small twin for this bike to be the "one" to scratch that itch. Parts availability for these if another concern versus some of the other models. If you're buying to refurb, restore and keep, different story. But if you might cycle the ownership on it shortly afterward, I'd pass this one. Or the most I'd spend on it is $600. Brutal and low, but it's value is below the market value given the condition and damage.
