DIY Wind Turbine
« on: April 13, 2014, 05:10:31 AM »
First off, sorry I don't have pictures of what Ive created yet because I haven't built squat. Im still in the design and information gathering phase. So this leads to my questions for the members who have already done this.

Did you feel after you built one that it would have been cheaper and more efficient to buy a ready to go turbine from the start?

Is there a recommended forum for turbine information that helped you?

Do you have pictures to go along with your design?

At this point Ive watched many videos on YouTube and have identified a few DC motors that will provide the juice to the batteries and converters but haven't taken it much further than this. Everyone seems to have theyre own preferences as to the design but I really don't want to build 10 models before I get a good one. I trust the opinions and designs more from our members than YouTube I guess.

     Thanks, Boats  8)
