'75 CB750F0 JET NEEDLE HOLDER
« on: April 14, 2014, 01:30:41 PM »
So according to a parts list. The jet needle holder for a 1975 F is 16165-341-004 which does not exist ANYWHERE on the web for sale. Does anyone know if the 69-75 K holder will work? Part #16139-300-004, in pictures it looks like it might be the same.

I have one bent holder that needs to be replaced. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My bike is a very early F, made 1/75, dunno if that makes it more likely to be able to accept the K holder.

Go to the Services Offered section of the site and PM SOHC DIGGER.  I am not sure about the P/N but I think you are referring to what is also called the emulsifier tube that holds the screw in jet.  He will probably have what you need or know where you can get it.  I think I bought four of them from him to do the HondaMan mod.

Are you talking about the threaded rod part that it is captured by using the two Phillips screws? If so that crosses all your k parts, except the Huber expensive real early carbs

If it is where the needles slide down in to, the brass part in the carb body is replaceable. There is an upper little piece that can be driven out when the emulsion tube is removed. There is also the emulsion tube itself, what the main jet threads in to

All easily obtainable, plenty of spares out there

Round top carbs w/ 38 pilots, middle needle position, airscrew 7/8ths out, 122 main jet

I have been collecting somewhat of a bit of a database as of late on emulsion tubes.  A lot of them look the same, but will be different.  Basically some have holes on the x axis and none on the y axis, and different variations.

It's soemthing not thought of a lot but I try to always get the stock appropriate part.  The holes can be in different places and different sizes tailored for each bike and particular needs throughout the rpm range.

Post a picture of yours and I can send you one just like it.

The -300 part number interchanges between K0 - K5. The -341 is specific to the 75/76 F0/F1.

Motogrid.com then Honda parts

Wait, so will the -300 part work on my '75 F0? I literally cannot find -341 anywhere, motogrid does not have it.

No, the -300 part does NOT match the other 3. If you do use it do all 4 carbs. You're going to need to find one matching piece otherwise. You're NOT going to find new parts. I doubt they have identifying marks. You'll need to be very specific. Diameter of holes, number of holes, location of holes etc. Pictures.

Get in touch with Bill Benton. Maybe you should send him one of the other 3 to do an actual match.

yeah those have the same holes, just different diameters which will affect the mixture.  here are the two different types:

PM me your info and I'll just send you both.

Pardon me buttmask for snagging your thread, but as long as harisuluv is here and rather another thread, I like to ask a ?..

harisuluv , does the needle jet have to be knocked out from the carb body if cleaning the carbs. If so, just bap it out from the top?

Ah I think you're referring to the needle guide, or pressed in piece that goes in before the emulsion tube, I think in almost all cases it isn't necessary.  Those brass parts last for a long time.  If you're high mileage maybe you might want to inspect them, but most likely not.

Just tap it out with a wood dowel. Here's a good tutorial.
