Need some jetting tips 1978cb750k
« on: April 18, 2014, 05:23:27 PM »
I have a 1978 cb750k and I want to install pod filters in place of my airbox. I know you need different jetting but here's my question. I have four drag pipes wrapped in heat tape, then I'll have pod filters, anyone have any recommendations? I'm asking because the drag pipes have been on and tuned right. I have added heat wrap on the headers and pod filters so I'm wondering how to jet this. I want to get a round about clue while my bike is all tore down and I can be prepared for the tune when it's together.

Assuming stock now..............typically need to go up one size..........example: 110s to 115s.

Half sizes such as 117s are sometimes available.

You may need to play with the air on the idle circuit...............and maybe the clip-position for best transition when changing gears.

This read may be very helpful...............Different brand of carb, but the principle is the same....http://www.iwt.com.au/mikunicarb.htm
