About 5 years back I saw, on ebay, a set of 0.50 pistons. As they were under about $100 (+ shipping) it seemed a good buy so I bid and won. They arrived in due course and I put them away for a rainy day when I might need them if I ever bought a CB750. The kit included pins & clips but no rings.
Yesterday I picked up a few 750 cylinders. Today being a rainy day I decided to check these piston against the cylinders I had. I also decided to measure the bores and compare. I measured the pistons and they were 64mm. WTF. Standard pistons are 61mm so these are 3mm o/s. But they have 0.50 stamped on the top.
There is no maker I/D on the boxes and, none on the pistons except, inside, a casting mark which looks like an 'S' inside a backward 'C'.
Can any one I/D these pistons?
By my calculation it would be an 811 kit. What rings would I need for them?. A little while after I bought this kit I bought a set of 0.50 rings. They were kosher so they're no good for this kit.
