Not a SOHC, but, is a Honda inline four, 399cc. I just "won" this last night on eBay, and am making shipping arrangements now.
Can't wait to get it!

I do like the 400 4-cylinder bikes, esp. the under 400lb. weight of them. If I were to buy a Yamaha 2-stroke, it'd have to be an RZ350.

I also like small light V-twins in the 650cc range. I loved my Hawk GT, but, had to part with it to make room, and provide cash for this purchase.
I'd also like to add a Ducati Monster 620, 695, or 696 to the stable someday, or maybe even an SV650.

Friend of mine has a souped up SV650 track bike that he has made barely street legal. Its a wheelie machine when he is on board and not putin' on his Harley.

Have you tried any light weight 500 twins ? I'd like to know if there are any that're the 'standard' M/C style.I have a nice little CB350 twin which handles great.

There aren't any recent 500cc light twins that are "standard" style. The three Honda 500cc models are all modern styled, but, certainly varying degrees of standard ergos. I'd like to try one, they seem like great bikes.

The Ninja 500, made up through around 2008 or 2009, though fully faired like a sport bike has standard ergos. The Suzuki GS500 is another 500cc twin naked bike with standard ergos.

I had an 86' VF500 interceptor that had 'reasonably' tolerable ergos... I'd like to see if someone would do either one of them or the VF500C Magna a 'custom ergos' style for more of a 'standard' riding position w/ the pegs right underneath your feet.
I've been on the Sport Bikes and the VFR and I've kind of decided more for Comfort/Sport Touring than full Sport. I think I'm slowing down to "Stop and smell the Roses" and get more 'Scenery' minded lately

Let me know when you want to come up. Yes, the NC30 is titled and tagged. The NC29 (CBR400) is also titled, and will be tagged. It will be hard to decide which one to ride!

That would be a pretty sweet day trip when it gets warmer man! Hershey is about 1 1/2 hours from me. Well iv had a Cr125, Yz125, Yz250, and a brief run in with a Rd350, but the name 2strokeTRush comes from my my name being "Tyler Rush" in high school my 3 siblings also attended the same school and all our names begin with "T" . I graduating last of the family was given the nickname " T-Rush" at school. So my username just kinda flows with the T sounding. But yes some NSR action would be nice one day. Not sure if I could hang on though. I would still choose your nc30 over one though

I had a RD350 briefly too. I didn't really care for it.

I certainly would choose the NC30 over the NS400R as well. It is much easier to care for and live with. The 2 Stroke V3 in the NS400R is a bit too exotic for me.

Yep same here, just couldn't get into the bike. As far as having a 3cycle bike, I would be to afraid to work on it, much less race.
