Not hijacking, just evolving.  The original question has been answered.  This thread will die unless it morphs into other topics.  So...

...speaking of other topics, I see you've got two 78's.  Which is your favorite, and why?  Asking 'cause my first bike is a K8, and I've been curious about the F's.

I havent quite got my F dialed in perfectly yet, but im liking it more and more every day. The K has served me well for almost 10 years, i got it in pieces for free from a buddy who didnt want to put it back together after stripping it to get parts for his dohc 750. After realizing it wouldnt work he gave it to me. Ive put maybe $400 into it in upkeep, rode it back and forth from New Orleans to Minneapolis, and its still running strong. Rock solid 69K mile motor. I also just picked up another 78F that im putting cbr front and rear ends on. I really never meant to stick to 78s, they just keep showing up really cheap and I end up loving them...Did you ever end up finding that seat?

...Did you ever end up finding that seat?

Not really.  Too tight to pay what they're (apparently) worth.  Gonna use the seat pan from the King/Queen seat that came on the bike and cut it down to the size I want.  Once I'm happy with that, I'll start the foam/upholstery process.  For now, I'm just riding it with a stadium cushion zip-tied to the frame.  May be hard to believe, but it's actually really comfortable.  That's one of the problems.  I'm just not that motivated to get on with the seat fabrication.  It's still on the to-do list, it's just not at the top anymore...
