'73 500 Cam Chain/Tensioner recommendations
« on: April 17, 2014, 04:23:33 PM »
So I'm having my motor completely rebuilt due to neglect from a PO. I'm also having it hopped up a bit with a Stage 3 Mike Rieck head job, new Megacycle cam, CR-26 carbs, and 59MM pistons.

My question is: other than a "stock" replacement, is there a recommended aftermarket cam chain and tensioner, and a different than stock primary chain? I have no qualms about using the stock replacements parts, but was curious if I should use a different brand and model.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of it's victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S. Lewis
