Fuel tank badges

I recently purchased a 1976 CB 750. I am wondering how to remove the badge that is still intact and what to do with the other one. It looks like maybe the tank may have been leaking and damaged the paint and someone ripped the badge off.

That looks pretty nasty. I would sand all that off and see how bad the rust is.
How does the inside look? Shine a flashlight inside to see it better.
Use a small screwdriver or putty knife and gently pry the badge off.
Good Luck.

That rust is from water trapped under the badge it like somebody glued one on and ripped of. Lightly sand the rust off to see if any penetrated . There is a spot in the front that just might have gone through
