Small Signal Light Replacement Recommendations?
« on: November 06, 2016, 04:56:37 PM »
I'm looking for recommendations for replacement signal lights.  My plan is to buy small "marker lights."  Has anyone had any good or bad experiences?  Likely to purchase from Dennis Kirk or JP Cycles.

I just put some nice (new) replacement turn signals on the For Sale site.

It really depends on your taste. Do you want tiny LEDs that you can make mounts for or just smaller than stock that fit in the factory location? Are you comfortable with wiring or just want a plug and play?

Put up a photo of your bike. Cafe/brats would probably want different lights than a stock looking bike.

Turn signals keep getting smaller and smaller.

Like my wallet.

I got my vintage bullet fins off amazon.  Still looking for a rocket thruster tail light.

Plug and play is preferred.  Looking for something similar to what I originally replaced with.  I think what I bought were "K&S Aluminum Oblong Marker Lights" from JP Cycles.  It was several years ago.

Thinking I installed single filament bulbs on front and back vs dual on front and single on back.  I know they got pretty hot in front when they worked.  After googling and reading several sites, It looks like I also might want to try a new flasher.

I'm pretty sure there has to be a thread on this, but I can't figure out how to search.

I think the search is still down. Has been down for a few weeks. When I want to search the forum I just type my query into google followed by SOHC4.

Search is out of order.

Front markers ground with the headlight and connect to the light orange and light blue wires (cb550) for flash, add a white stripe to the same color for static running.

Same color for flashers in the rear, no running.  But ya could piggyback onto the tail light for solid running light.
