Just started work to install my All Balls steering stem bearings. If I'm in town this weekend, I should be able to finish that up & start getting the front end back together.

Also, when I purchased the bike, it didn't have the original side cover emblems. I bought an unpainted pair off 4into1.com & found some lettering paint on Amazon. They're turning out pretty good so far (need to paint the 'K' & do touchups). We'll see how they hold up under riding/environmental conditions.

A lot of heat & chisel pounding but I finally got the lower part of the bottom bearing off the steering stem. Once I get the other part of the bottom bearing out of the frame, I'll be able to start getting new bearings in.

Got the lower bearing race out of the steering head & was able to get the top bearing race in. The lower race wouldn't go past a certain when I tried getting it in the a wood block & mallet. I tossed it in the freezer & will have to try the Hack a Week method of using some all-thread & washers to press it in.

Repainted the lower triple tree that attaches to the steering stem as well. Hopefully it's just a matter of getting it all pieced back together & I'll be set to ride.
