Rebuilding the bottom end 1977 CB550 - Need advice
« on: June 01, 2014, 11:59:07 AM »
I have most of the bottom end parts of my 1977 CB550 cleaned out polished.  No definite signs of wear on the transmission except one of the gear adjustment forks which I already got a new part.  I want to start the rebuild of the bottom end while I search for rocker arms for the top end.  My questions are:

1. Is there a Link or guide for bottom end rebuild?
2. Do I use thread lock?
3. I know that the crank case bolt have a specific torque and sequence, but do the smaller bolts need to be torqued as well?

I'm a noob but love to tiner so please excuse my ignorant questions.
Thanks
