Feel free to join!  You probably won't get much more out of it than the pictures, though, since most of the posts are about planning rides and meetings.  The current Mt. Evans pics are in the folder labeled something like "Mt. Evans 7/22/06".

I rode up there again by myself a couple of days ago and took some pictures, which I'll post up there soon.

With the apparently active classic bike movement in St. Louis, maybe you should start a new chapter of the Rusted Nuts! ;D

My new avatar is from my solo ride up Mt. Evans.  Probably at around 13,000 feet.  There's nothing like the feeling of being at the same level as the clouds on a 35 yr. old bike.

yeah - that's an awesome photo - i was gonna comment on it the other day and forgot...

about 5 years ago my dad and i took a Christmas road trip (caged) from Birmingham Al in a big loop out West. we headed through Ak, Ok, Kansas into eastern Colorado and then up around the Sangre de Christo range... we stayed away from cities and stuck to as rough a road as the Jetta would handle. ended up seeing the Great Dunes and climbing a couple and sitting in a old mine station turned into a bar in a box canyon drinking beer.

we were there three days and there had been 6' of snow the day before we got there - the sky was crystal blue the entire time - it couldn't have been better.
