Picking up a '72 CB350 twin this week
« on: September 24, 2006, 09:14:55 PM »
Trading my '74 Kaw 175 f7 project for it. It is in better condition than the 125 and I may get an extra frame with it.. Maybe this will be the vintage racer I've been thinking about building.

It was a 175. I owned it 15 years and it ran maybe half that so I'm not sad to see it go. He likes anything green and hates Hondas with a passion so it works out well.

Say, if you need parts, info or ideas for that 350, check with Greg over at ohiocaferacers.com and I'm sure that he could help out. Check his site and see what he's done with 350s. Awfully impressive.

Does anyone make aftermarket CL high pipes? I haven't had any luck finding OEM on ebay and I really like the Scrambler look. I've found a CL rolling chasis with tank and seat.

What weird is that I like the CB tank better than the CL tank.  I think a tits looks would be the CB tank and seat with the CL pipes.

Good luck on the pipes. I bought 3 sets off ebay before I had what I would concider usable on a restoration.

PIPES! yep that's like finding a muscle car for $50!  ;)

My project CL350 is going cafe racer, so, I put a lot of time in patching up the old pipes.  I'm gifting them to my freind to "restore" his dad's 76 CL360. They look ok, but really they are trashed inside! But they are the best I've managed to get my hands on!

CL350 and CL360 pipes are interchangable?

Found out Yesterday they are NOT. Sucks!
There is a slight difference in the ange of the exhaust ports on the engine. other than that it would have worked.

The CL also has a groove cut out of the left side cover to allow for clearance. I'm sure that would have been an issue as well.

Are these things made of gold or something?
I'm tempted to go with pods now. Anyone jetted a 350 for pods?

Surprise! The obvious isn't an issue! my 350 came with a non-contured pannel and highpipes in place!
