If ya can't find a guy in Vancouver
Call Fred at (250) 748-8465   older dude like me, knows these bikes inside and out.  Just don't try and jump the cue and mess with my 836 build.

He's in Duncan on Van Island.

So how is the planning of a SOHC meet going?  i am interested, but am on the east side of the province (where there is some very nice riding).  My latest project, a 400F should be ready by the time the snow and gravel are off the road.

Are you talking about the Tsawwassen Classic Bike Swap Meet?

That's on April 22nd.

I'll be there.

Cliff usually parks at the North End of the paved parking lot.
That's where I will be as well. Taking the ferry from Nanaimo, so should be there around 12:30

Here's what we will be riding.

Are you talking about the lot at the back of the buillding, away from the highway?

No, right out front by the entrance. A little to the left of door by the trees.

Save me a couple of spaces.

Maybe print SOHC PARKING on a sheet of paper and tape to the curb ;D

Can I ask one of you guys a question? You can't get things chromed in the states anymore (at least not for a reasonable price), but I do believe it's possible still in BC. I have a rear wheel that is in pretty bad shape. Do any of you have a local shop where you get things re-chromed? I'm about 2.5 hrs south of VAN BC.

I'm looking at the pipes in this last picture and they're almost blinding me.

Tsawwassen was great this year, all kinds of CBs. Didn't meet anyone from this board but did meet a few other Cbrs and we're planning to get together soon. Two weeks of work getting my bike pristine were shot getting there in the rain but once there it was great.

Set the alarm for 7:30 in order to catch 2 ferries and be there by 12:00.
It was just Pi$$ing OUT!   Went back to bed.

The next option for a ferry would have put me there at 3:00. Just to late to make an effort/

Sorry we missed you, glad you had a good time.
Any photos?

Hi Derek!
We went over the night before and stayed at a friend's B & B in Ladner. It stopped raining about 8:30 or so and we got there about 8:45 to an almost full parking lot. Then the sun showed and it was a nice spring day. Lots of SOHC4's from ratty bikes to show bikes. Lots of questions from all ages so the interest in them seems to be growing. Maybe next time I'll have a gold one to take over. Most of my engine parts have arrived, the cylinders are bored and I'm just waiting for a Kawasaki bearing to arrive from Japan.
How's yours coming along?
Cheers,
Cliff.

I need to get the painted block back to him to complete the build. He should have the frame straightened by now.
Just waiting on a couple of checks to arrive here to get some more $$ in his hands.

$500.00 for the frame.  Crap!

Gauge from the local Hells Angels Harley shop in Nanaimo and I painted the engine myself ;)
