77- 78 carb boots
« on: April 26, 2014, 07:57:41 PM »
Hey guys,

Does anybody out there know where to get reliable carb boots, the reason I ask is because I bought
a set new from vintagecb750 and they are crap, rubber is to soft and there really loose fitting,so of
course they leaked really bad, this was with new clamps that came with the set, which I destroyed
trying to get them not to leak,so there going back, and I need to find a set that work or not leak
if anyone purchased a set and they are happy with them please let me know, oh these are for a 78 k
thank you.

Looking into the same thing, people seem to have success using turbo silicon hoses

#1 and #3 are still available from DSS. You can buy two of each and flip them. Not ideal, but it works. Or your 'PartsnMore' site lists them, don't know about the quality though.

I bought new OEM Honda ones from DSS for my 31mm CR carbs, as has been said you can only buy #1 and #3, but if you flip 'em over, they're the same as #2 and #4. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"
