Greetings from East SF Bay Area
« on: April 28, 2014, 01:28:28 AM »
I bought a 1971 CB750 from my friend who dug it out of some fellas garage not too long back. I just bought it in January.
What a sorry project it was when I got it, I'll post pictures in another post here. I'm trying to convert it into a cafe but I'm also 2 months away from being married.
I've had several motorcycles, including two 1978 CB750 supersports, one is for sale currently. I'd love to get another 90 fzr1000 if anyone knows of a decent one...

The bike runs really well! When it wants to...
I got it with fibreglass tank and someone's horrible handiwork on some side covers but I have a 71 tank on it and the petcock occasionally gives me heck.
Reserve doesn't seem to work at all and I frequently have issues with carbs 3 & 4 not getting fuel and #2 occasionally overflows..

carbs have been rebuilt and tuned with pod filters on it. I drilled clubman bar for it and ran the wires through,
Someone swapped the original spoke wheels for Comstars from a super sport... so I bought new brakes for it that I will be installing along with rebuilding the brake calipers, master cylinders, and installing stainless steel brake lines, and it could use new sprockets, chain, and tires while I have the wheels off.

I'll post pictures in the next day or two as I get into it tearing things apart
