Just another newbie
« on: September 15, 2006, 03:45:23 PM »
Hey all. Just sayin' hi. Been riding bikes for about 10 years off and on - had a couple old kawis but finally got the HONDA four I always wanted - '75 550k, less than 11,000 miles (supposedly :-\). This board has already been invaluable and y'all are some the coolest people on the web.

Most of my mechanical skills involve buying cans of supermiraclepotion at pep boys and then writing checks to real mechanics when it doesn't work. But I have vowed to change my lazy ways and learn how to do stuff on my own. I'm going to have to apparently 'cuz the guy at the honda shop (got a new back tire - old was made by SEARS!) told me they don't work on anything older than 1980.  >:(

So anyway, great to be here and thanks for keeping this site going!

Welcome to the boards, you are in the right place....

I saw the pic of your bike......

Remember the scene in Poltergiest where the old Indian tells the family thier car is angry? And the only way to make it happy again is to give it to him.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Your bike looks pretty angry..... ::)

Short legs mabey but still heavy as hell . I've had an 86 gs 750 ef and the cb 550 seems more heavy.
