I'm writing from Australia. I'm in possession of a CB500/4 post classic race bike in which I've owned for around 14 years. The bike was built for Westgate Racing by Bill Smelling in the late 80's. Recently I did hear that Bill was not in good health and pretty much that's all I know of the man. I'm trying to chase some history on Bill and specs on the bike. I purchased the bike from Bob Campbell (Bob Campbell motorcycles). Bob couldn't help me with any history. I was hoping that somebody could.
