I'm using a smaller motor, around 850cc. I've been on the registration website, its $575 for the AMA and $775 for the FIM. I probably only need to enter one class.

I haven't been able to get my hands on a rule or record book. But if possible I'd like to find out what the world record is for this size motor and setup etc.

I figured the CR fairing would do the job, I guess we'll find out  ???

http://bonnevillespeedtrials.com/entry/event-registration/

^ And according to the website it's almost $300 for an extra class in AMA and over $300 for additional in FIM.

Here's the list of FIM classes as well - http://bonnevillespeedtrials.com/rulesclasses/fim-world-record-regs/

Been busy the last few days

Painted the frame, placed the motor and swing arm. Still trying to decide on wheels!!  :-\
Also purchased the fuel pump I was missing from Blue71turbo, Just need a few more parts to finish the hilborn!

Gonna start on the forks and triple tree tomorrow, new bearings and fork fluid as well. Its good to finally see the bike take shape. And the damn frame is finally NOT RED!!!  ;D

I still need to paint the tail section black, but the last pic is the mock up. Kevin built this by hand out of fiberglass back in the 70's is a very unique seat. I'll get more pics of it as it's refinished.

Cheers fellas

The rooms at Motel 6 were cheap last year. $36 mid-week and a little more on weekends. Comfortable and clean, mine anyway. And I had a mini-fridg.

Dennis, what's your/our booking situation?

I'd like to be able for all of us to book at the same place. Could have a real big crew. I'm bringing at least 4 people with me
Including Kevin!

Anything Turbo and I'm interested.  Very cool build, I wish I were closer and had more time, I would like to check this out.

So tell me more about the engine and turbo system. What are your goals.

Anything over 200mph is the goal. I am using a modified CB750K2 frame with a K8 motor. The motor is running a Russ Collins machines crank with Golden rods. Cylinders have been bored from 63mm to 67mm. Along with a very high performance cam.
Also a Hilborn mechanical fuel injection system. The turbo is a T3T4. ARD magneto for the ignition system.

I'm sure I'm forgetting something else.. its a very unique bike for sure.

200 mph......I like your thinking...now I wonder what's  the all time SOHC CB750 based single engine top speed we know of?  Sit down bike? or lay down but single engine. I know Mel Nolan went pretty fast and the PO went 177.xx but has anyone even broke 180-190 mph?  ;D I think you going need a 100 shot of Nitrous..... And that engine can't take that ...I hope it can!  ;D Bill

Mel did Billy, I did post it earlier in Trey's thread.

Just rebuilt after 26 years in boxes my CB750K2 is back to it's original condition.
Performance in 1981.
Top speed 207 mph.
Flying quarter mile 198.98 mph.
FIM 1000cc World flying kilometer record ( 189.64 mph)
FIM 1000cc World flying mile record (181.51 mph on public road)
Irish Landspeed record ( flying kilo, 184.10 mph - public road.)

Built on a budget the frame is a Rob North design, by Piper, the original Peter Williams mag wheels from a works Norton,
Triumph Bonneville front forks, koni's on rear, Lockheed calipers with Renault discs, vertex mag with drive built by Phil Joy from VW beetle distributor gears, modified ATP turbo kit, fairing based on modified design of Garelli or Benelli 1950's dustbin, home built water/alcohol injection.

This bike gave lots of fun. Click for photos:      http:/www.filckr.com/photos/nitrous2000

207 is like 225-230ish at lower elevations on pavement..
Whatever you run at the flats, would be a bit quicker in most places..

Kevin Draper actually measured and is setting up the turbo for me. Along with dialing in the Hilborn.

a neighbor of mine actually donated the brand new T3T4, came with a waste gate, blow off valve, fuel pressure regulator, but no manifold.

Kevin will be coming down to New Braunfels in the next week. I'll be sure to get all of the stats for ya

I would be interested in what it is, 200 mph is going to require close to 200 HP and that's a tall order for a sohc.
