So I have had this thing on the shelf for a couple years and finally got it mounted up, and I gotta say I am impressed.  Off all the exhaust I have used this thing was the biggest PITA ever to mount up.

I am not even sure if it is SOHC since the headers are not a perfect fit and needed much encouragement to bolt up.  Could very well be a DOHC.

We'll I will tell you what, I was pleasantly surprised by how well the headers hug the frame.  Kerkers are know for hanging too low in the front and scraping the ground.  Not this setup hight and tight.

I will get some pics if anyone is interested.

Original directions say Winning, Winning Performance Products.  I had the box, but used it to ship something else out.  Hmm, this is interesting it makes reference to the GS550, and GS750.  Wonder if the same header would work on a GS?  Pretty sure it is for a cb750k 77/78.

Are there any markings stamped into the megaphone support? Chrome, or painted? My "sort of looks like a Kerker" has no markings and is painted.

It has Winning sticker on the muffler.  Guess after the divorce the wife didn't want to spend the extra money to stamp winning on the muffler mount.  It is pretty light too.  Maybe that is the lack of carbon build up.

I happy this project is finally moving forward.

I've got this set on my 500 K0. There are no markings and any stickers that may have existed are long since gone. Someone in the Exhaust thread named them as Winning Performance pipes. I'm not sure if you have a bad set or I just got lucky but mine slip on and off with almost no effort. And they sound fairly decent as well. So, I can't complain. Sorry yours are such a PITA.

And here are a couple shots of my pipes after having them ceramic coated:

Sounds great!  Gotta love the nice grunt they make without being too obnoxiously loud.

Mine had a mid pipe that I have since removed. I was getting an odd amount of water in the pipe either from condensation or the fact that the exhaust faced upwards. Either way, it's seems better now.
