So I picked up some new pvc harness sleeves from vintage connections. I purchased things from them in the past they’re great to deal with and they shipped quickly.

Does anybody have any advice on how to put the wire harness through the PVC sleeve?

I’ve done it for a smaller section of wireless to go through the handlebars, but this is a cluster of wires in the harness to fit through that PVC sleeve.

I have used a fine mechanics wire, carefully wrapped/spiraled around the ends of the harness wires, into a pack.
Might help to spray them w/ WD40 a little so they will slide through the PVC sleeve. Pics ?

Certain sizes will not fit without removing the bullet connectors, sliding the pvc on, and then re-crimping new bullets...a lot of work.
If it works good, it looks good...

I have an old tin of electricians cable pulling grease (yellow). It works great.

Overdue update.

For the time being I cut open the pvc lengthwise and electric silicone taped the harness. I replaced a few corroded wires from the front blinkers that, I think, was the culprit. Since the repair I’ve done about 50 miles with no issues.

Next thing to sort out is the bluing of the exhaust pipes. 1 & 3 are bluing but 2 & 4 are a nice golden color.

Have you serviced the carburetors lately?

I have. Complete tear down and ultrasonic cleaning. Original jets but new o-rings and carb sync.

I'd check the spark plugs and make sure 1&3 are not too lean

+1 to the above, this was incredibly common on chrome plated anything exhaust (kerker is what comes to my mind) in the very late 70's-early to mid '80's. People would just throw a pipe on without truely understanding it's affect on carburetion.
Yet in this case, if they do appear lean, you'll have to track down the issue, it's not rocket science, one thing at a time.
Start with the end in mind...

The #2 & #4 head-pipes look like they had gotten kind of overheated,at some point in the past.
Make sure the float heights are all correct.

I’ll check float heights again, but they were good during rebuild.

I use a special float height gauge which reads in mm's;I've also seen members using the 'clear tube method' and it seems to be very accurate.

The spark plug picture you posted;seems to me the crush-gaskets don't look very compressed..
Make sure to fully torque each spark plug to the correct specs, rather than have them leaking compression past the gaskets.

Well, its its kinda hard to tell from that pic, they look like they've got a lotta idle time on them. But having said that, the straps (electrode) on #1 & #3 are slightly (possibily) lighter. Throw on a set of gauges make sure they're sync'd (dbl ck that all the low speed screws are set equally), if ya can do a clear tube without taking them off then, do it (looking for lower than spec). Make sure all your clamps are secure, verify there's no visible cracks in the manifold boots, check to make sure the manifold orings aren't leaking (in your tear down, the previous owner had sealer on these), its a process of elimination before having to get your hands dirty and then disassembling. It really doesn't take much for this to happen, and in most instances its more than 1 issue, however small. Most of this won't take but 20 mins total to do...
Start with the end in mind...

I checked my float level using the clear tube method and all looks good.

I do have leaking from the #4 bowl from time to time so I installed new float needle from a previous kit I purchased. Took it for a ride today and no leaking and pulls strong.

I do need to give it a 3k mile tune up but my Morgan pro carb tune is having g issues.

The slide for cylinder 1 is sticky so I can’t be sure I’m getting an accurate reading.

Has anybody had this issues with their Morgan carb tuner?  Any way to repair?

I was considering bucking up the digi-sync carb synchronizer. Who’s used it and is it worth the money?
