Its a K model with F stuff on it. I had the same problem 20 yrs ago.

I have no idea what the header is from,  your right it's a 1977 cb550k but the brake pedal is two with one cut off to move it out. I would be better off with a cb550F brake pedal it bent diff. a 550F header gose across the oil pan and then out away from the rear brake pedal

I still think it is a pretty good deal for $700. I'm sure the cheapos on here will enlighten me on how they got some immaculate barn find for half that tho.

It looks to me like it is a clean title/reg semi-runner. Post a wtb, sell some stuff on it and put the sweat equity in. Get a new set of Frankenstuff covers, they are less brittle than stock and the fit/finish is like Honda made them, not like crappy maier.
