You know, when it comes to you Brits I have seen bikes just as ugly as that one "restored" in th epages of Classic Motorcycle and the like.

Of course by the time they are done there is only about 5% of the original bike left.

It really helps that you guys have such a robust 'auto jumble' scene. There are a remarkable amount of old spares floating around your county.

Here in America really good motorcycle swap meets are few and far between.

I agree, and it also most likely ran before being buried

Can't see many people up for putting that back together. My guess is they're bidding in the hope the engine internals can be used, or hoping the numbers are going to help get another one back on the road.

Doubt it was nicked, my old grandad used to bury anything rather than have to pay anything to tip stuff! And people in t'north of England have a reputation for being a bit frugal! (Now I'm in trouble!)

I'd leave it as is and put in my front yard. Don't care what the neighbors said.

Probably stolen, not many other reasons to bury a bike....

Unless the rider is still as yet unearthed. Then you'd have a story to go with it!

I'll have to admit, I've looked at other bikes in nearly poor condition and thought "Hmmm, what if I..."  This one doesn't interest me as much. If it were an old bmw, ducati, or a be nelly, I'd be swiping my passport through Customs already!

The Premier League is concluded and the World Cup is a month away. Not much for these blokes to do meanwhile...

FA = Futile Attempt  ;)

Meanwhile, I'll be watching the final showdown at the Camp Nou in between re-wiring my bike.

Dang sorry to hear about your season ending run-in, Simon. Would have been brilliant to see StevieG get his last missing piece of jewelry. Though, I can't stand Sturridge (diving, pretentious little T-wat that he is).

arsenal won it in extra time
 its been a good and bad year for liverpool , at the beginning of the season i would have been delighted with second place and a spot in the champions league
for next season . but in the end we got so close it was a disappointment  not to win .

wardenerd my mother will be delighted that you support the blues , she has been a season ticket holder at goodison for 63 years and seems to get keener each year
i go round to see her on sundays and she relives the whole match in terribly biased detail !
