Center stand Stopper??
« on: May 12, 2014, 07:57:30 PM »
So when I got my bike (Cb750K2) it didn't have a centerstand. I got a stand, bracket, hardware, spring etc and installed it but it is now kicking too much up into my HM300 pipes? Is there like a rubber mount or tab that belongs on my frame or pipes that distances the stand down at all that I'm missing?

I can't really see anything on any of the fiche, unless I'm just missing it.

I never had stock pipes but there is a stop for the center on the hm 300's. check a parts fische or look at the pipe diagram on yamiya' exhaust ad.
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.

OH! totally see it now, I was looking at the centerstand fiche, the swingarm fiche. Basically looked at all of the them EXCEPT the muffler. It's number 14/15 in the fiche. Do you know exactly which one it is?

Regardless Looks like Honda still sells them!

Thanks,
Tim

I believe the fiche days both are stand rubbers; ones for the center and ones for the side. I figured it out last night and got it for $4, just can't remember which one off the top of my head

One of the rubbers is a rectangle and one is round. I actually use the rectangle for both the center and side stand. I believe the round one was supposed to be for the side stand, but the stand barely hit it. So I use put the rectangle on both stands. Correct, they are still available from Honda.

One more question, It looks like there's only one on the left side (number #2 pipe?), I can quite see on the right side, should there be one over there?

Both brackets are on the #2 OEM pipe. The center stand one is further back. There is none on the right side.
