Well you read in on the internet..so I guess...yeah. ;D

Of course it does not apply to those of us that have always had these old bikes.  We are still as cool as ever and golden.  As for the rest of you that are new to CB's and other 70"s era bikes.......us cool guys will try not to rub it in.  ;D ;D ;D

Thankfully my beloved XS650 is not on the list....surprisingly considering how many have been butchered by talentless hacks turning them into yet another hardtail bobber. :P

I would have thought there are more hip replacements astride these old bikes than hipsters.

Why can't they just stick to Vespas instead of F'ing up perfectly good pieces of Japanese history? They just don't make 70's CBs anymore.

FWIW I see a whole bunch of PO rants coming down the pike!  :o

Yeah, I am surprised the XS650 didn't make the list either. I see endless hacks on CL trying to sell their hacksterpieces for stupid amounts of money and it makes me laugh. I went and looked at a fairly unmolested 650 and when I saw the seller was hardtailing another one and wanting way too much for a stock 650 that needed work I laughed a little to myself and didn't even bother to try and haggle to get the price down to a more acceptable level. I just thanked the clown for his time and left without making an offer, how do these clowns think they can junk up a potentially decent bike and ask $3500 or more for it? Ugh, stupidity.

No Kidding!
Just found http://grandrapids.craigslist.org/mcy/4451393571.html on CL.   $4K, really!, not including labor I come up with less than $1500 in new parts, and that's generous.  I don't even see any polishing or custom paint.  Wired kick only, but left the starter in there?  Sounds like a hack.

Yeah, I saw that.  I'm not afraid of basket cases.  Sounds like a real good deal, with the mismatched engine/frame a custom would be the only sensible thing to do with it.  It is tempting.  My wife would definitely roll her eyes at me, all I need is an other project.

Yeah, if you got it and built it you could maybe find out where the hipster got his cafe stickers to make it cool.

I don't believe there is an age limitation. Do you own a leather jacket with matching boots and scarf?

i think the honda rukus should be number 1 especially out here in los angeles.  I actually never see Cb's at the hipster bars, dive bars, small music venues.

My leather jacket was purchased around 1970.  Does not match the work boots outside of both being black.  The only scarf I own is used only in the winter to shovel snow.  ;D
