DSS repro HM300s may be available soon
« on: May 16, 2014, 10:40:44 AM »
I've been waiting for the repro HM341 pipes to become available from DSS for nearly a year.  I noticed the other week that they are offering repro HM300s and my understanding is that they might have a couple of sets available very soon.

They're kinda stupid expensive, but I'm not sure how many other sources remain.

Better than paying $3,400 on Ebay, and with his name on them beat the quality is good too.  He has a good business don't see him turning out a junk product that would hurt his name.  Wish he would make them out of stainless though.

I will Buy them! I want 341s but at that price I wont wait again! I almost bought the last ? run of 341s from Honda but there were a few complaints about quality here so I waited for the next batch...... No one but a member here could call me out on that swap! Keep me posted!

Anyone know how they compare the the Yamiya repros?

http://www.yamiya750.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=142_88&products_id=142

I know it's a pie in the sky wish, but wouldn't a side by side comparison of the two be great?  Actually, that's a great idea for Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Magazine or Motorcycle Classics.

I was thinking the same thing.  150,000 yen = $1477, not crazy if your bike is worth it.
I paid near that for the 4-4 exhaust for my Z1 last year.

OEMs are long gone

Yamiya or DSS, either way I need some 300s

Where does DSS ship from? They might wind up being cheaper overall. Shipping from JN is expensive.

I'm in Detroit and was quoted $17 for shipping from DSS.  Hopefully I'll have some pics of the pipes soon.

Somebody send me a set from Yamiya and I'll be happy to take some side by side pics when I get mine.

I emailed them last week when I noticed that they were showing HM300s as out of stock (vs not even listing them).  I emailed DSS CS and they let me know that they were expecting three sets in a shipping container last week.  I cancelled my order of HM341s and ordered the HM300s.   The HM341s were ordered a year ago but haven't been available since.  At that time I settled for the 341s as DSS wasn't sure if they'd be getting HM300s again.

Found out that their container arrived late last week and just got a shipping notice from them.   ;D  ;D  ;D

There may still be a couple of sets available.  If you really want one of the sets it's likely worth ordering and paying for them and then contacting DSS CS to see if they other couple of sets are still available (but not listed yet).  I suspect that if they haven't been sold yet that they'll be listed as available on the DSS site soon.

I just got lucky with my timing.  Usually doesn't happen that way for me.

$1825 is not bad if that is shipping from the US. If you need to pay from England it's not as awesome.

They charged me $17 to ship to Detroit.  Of course they might be intimidated by the whole Detroit thing ::)

People hear you're from Detroit and assume that you've already got a few murders notched in your belt.  When I went to boot camp the DIs would ask the recruits where they were from and mess with them.  Guys from Texas got the steers and queers line.  Guys from WV and SC got asked if they had a sister and whether or not they lost their virginity from her.  They asked me where I was from and I'd tell 'em Detroit.  They would stare at me in silence and move on. :D

Hi guys,

A short while ago I emailed yamiya and asked about when their 300 no number pipes would be back in stock. Coincidentally I got this email today:

Dear customers,

M066 No Number Exhaust will be back in stock soon!

It will be available on our website from 3:00P.M. May 22th in Japanese time.

We will have very limited stock this time, so please place an order as soon as possible.

http://www.yamiya750.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=142_88&products_id=142&language=en

*To treat all customers fairly, we’re afraid we don’t accept pre-payment or reservation*

Thank you for your kind understanding and look forward to your orders.

Best Regards,

Motorcycle YAMIYA

For those of us on the east coast, Japan is 13 hours ahead of us so 3pm there is 2 am here the night before.   Just a heads up or those who may be interested.

its 17 bucks regardless of what you order.  If you ordered everything on their site it would be 17 dollars, but if you order one thing its still 17.  I just got a repo MC from them.
