The current generation of the "Cafe Racer Scene" is exactly why I never called my bike a cafe racer but a road racer. It was built as a  race prepped bike but was also street legal.
This quote from below sums it up:
"In 1973, Popular Mechanics said the term café racer was originally coined as an insult toward riders pretending to be road racers but instead only parked outside cafés."

On the frame in question here, if it had a crazy long front end on it originally it is probably raked a bunch more than what you want if you put reasonable length forks on it now, take that into consideration if you go to modify or repair the neck area.

I've done some measuring and have figured that the forks I already have (stock + 6") will work fine. I have a line on another that I may buy as well, so this one may end up for sale. While I'm on the subject, I have another question…

Unlike on a stock CB750, which has tabs for the four bottom and two front mounts (total six), the frame only has four tabs for the engine. They are for the bottom four, with no front riser mounting tabs. Is it unsound to have the engine only mounted from the bottom?
What am I doing and why am I doing it? Those are excellent questions.

If I recall correctly, most of the cb750 choppers I've seen only have the bottom motor mounting points. I'm sure it's fine, someone with a chopper might be able to chime in though.

It's fine,  just don't roadrace it..
I found a lowered amen frame easier to throw around than a Stocker..
