Hello from Denver!
« on: April 17, 2014, 07:54:45 PM »
Hello everyone!

My name is Daniel!
I've just recently moved down to Denver Colorado, working in the supercomputing industry.
Any who....
I've just recently picked up a 1980 CB650 from an old coworker of mine for $350
The bike was a complete barn find, as it has spent the past year and a half sitting in one.
The bike is currently not running, as the cylinder head it not on the bike; the previous owner of the bike was rebuilding it as a cafe build.
But supposedly towards the end of the build(during the reassembly of the engine) the owner had to move cross country and could not take the bike with him.
Soo... I'm currently trying to source a decent cylinder head for the bike, then I will get to work out the many other kinks that will arise!

Ahhh, more front rangers. Welcome aboard. Get in touch with/PM CB650 aka Terry. He's up in Hudson and may be able to help you. He has 3 or 4 plus parts.

Jerry

I peeled back the tape covering the block, the tops of the pistons look perfect! And the cylinder walls look like they were honed! I took some better pictures this evening after I had removed some of the PO's stickers, cleaned the bike, and started sorting through the wiring!
