550 clutch problem
« on: May 19, 2014, 10:11:58 AM »
Hey guys need a little help here, something just doesnt seem right. I put in a new clutch, put cover side cover back on but when i went to pull the little arm up that the cable attaches too it doesnt move. It moves up until the point of contact with the little dowel that sits in the center of the plate basket, but then thats it. It feels like something is stuck. Any ideas whats going on here?

Thanks

Maybe nothing.
Did you put the clutch cable on and adjust the bar lever, too?

You won't be able to move the lever on the clutch cover with you bare hands.   ...Unless you have lobster claw hands.

Haha no I have not hooked up the cable yet, just thought I would be able to move it with my hands. Ok I'll try with cable.

Thanks man
