I currently have the GT style "coke bottle" grips. I find them a little big, though, especially at speed when getting knocked around by the wind.

Recommendations for smaller grips with lots of cushion, that aren't foam? What about the stock style ones? Comfy?

I have been using the gel grips you find on more modern bikes. Slimmer and the reduce vibrations somewhat.

I have tomaselli grips on my 350. I like the extra little rib they have on the throttle grip. You can see it here as #3 http://laverda.ca/images/Allitalia/rubbergripstomaselli.JPG not sure about long riding comfort though.

I use OURY on everything i have. Anyone who rides my bike usually buys them for their bike. They are going away my favorite and not particularly expensive.

I've used Oury grips on mountain bikes and BMX. Very comfy. They look like they might fit the bill.

I got Oury for my build based on the forum. Did not install them, but I like the way they feel.

I like Ourys, but any tricks for cleanly cutting the ends for bar end mirrors? I have some Parts Unlimited 'Honda' plug end grips which are great for bar end mirrors, but the Oury is by far a superior grip. I'd like to use Oury if I could get a clean end cut.

I have no experience but I have seen people take a hammer to them on the bars. Makes a kind of jagged cut. I guess if you had a scrap set of bars you could sharpen the end of them for a cleaner cut??

First hand experience: Take a piece of Copper tubing of the appropriate size, insert thru the inside, rest upon the anvil of your vice. One good whack gets a clean cut. The end of the tubing is usually sharp, esp if its been cut with a tubing cutter.

PS, I like Oury's too.

I just put the old grips on the end of an old set of bars and pounded with a hammer!

I will try to refine the process this time, I think!

Same idea, copper is sharper, old bars are blunt.
