...I'll let someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'd say yes, but nothing major...what is it u'r trying to accomplish and with what parts?  If its just a matter of a swap, its doable...

thanks for the reply lumbee, was starting to think no one cared. ;D . I have a few bikes and i am piecing together a cafe bike. I am planning on putting 17's on it. I have the rear already thanks to a 78 model and I will puchase the front. I think I may have found some good shocks but they appear to be an inch longer. I guess I was wondering if this was a honda thing on the later models to compensate for the 17 inch rear.

...yea, I want to say that the later models (77-78 maybe) did have longer front forks...but don't quote me on that... ::)

The KONIs have many sizes Re length.
I have put some -1314s on mine (18"rear)off a F2?? but they make the beast handle very well and have good riding qualities with two up for touring but.
When it comes to using the side stand the bike looks like its about to fall over on its side.
KONO -1296 are the correct one for a CB 750 K5

PS I have a pair of overhauled KONI 1314s for sale.
