ghost effect timing

i have a cb 750k1, mac open pipes, cycle exchange 2 carb setup. runs good when cold. when its warm idle goes up and down. i noticed checking my timing that it is not steady kinda like a ghosting effect. any help will greatly be appreciated

If the RPM's are erratic, the timing will shift slightly as when the RPM's go up, the igniton advance unit starts to work, advancing the ignition. When the RPM's fall, the ignition retards back to the base timing.

Has the bike had a full tune-up and carb synch?

How long have you had the Cycle Exchange dual carb set up? Has it been running well since you installed these? There are probably a few guys running this set up that might be able to help.

On a side note how about giving us some info about how you like these, how the bike performs vs 4 carbs, mileage, etc.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)
