A man's wealth is not measured by how much he has, but in how little he wants.

Conversely:

It is not the man who has too little, but the man who craves more, that is poor. (Seneca)

Knowledge is knowing what to say.  Wisdom is knowing when to say it.

Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of it's victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S. I had a school teacher send my 5 year old daughter home to tell her dad that "he is wrong, A tomato is a vegetable" and marked her work wrong, I sent my little girl back to school with a nice little reply and a dictionary so she {the teacher} could "educate" herself...  Amazing.... :o
